Larissa Dubecki

A professional writer for more than 20 years, Larissa Dubecki has well and truly nailed Malcolm Gladwell's 10,000-hour rule. Much of that time has been spent writing about food (and eating food), including six years as chief critic for The Age newspaper and The Age Good Food Guide and her current tenure as Time Out Melbourne's restaurant critic. But her secret past as a news reporter covering politics, popular culture and the life and times of Chopper Read make her the writing answer to the cricketing all-rounder. Her work has appeared in Gourmet Traveller, Guardian Australia, The Australian and many more publications both nationally and internationally. And while she's had the odd dalliance with TV, appearing on MasterChef several times and as a judge on Iron Chef Australia, she prefers life in front of a keyboard.

Michael Harden

Michael Harden worked in restaurants in various parts of the world for 15 years to support his writing habit and now spends a lot of his time writing about restaurants. He is Melbourne editor and restaurant critic for Australian Gourmet Traveller and a regular contributor to a number of other local and international publications. He’s the author of 15 books – not all of them about food – is currently attempting a PhD in creative writing and believes that the world could be a much better place if there were more clear sentences being written.
